How can novice poets promote their creativity and what are the secrets of literary skill? You can learn about this and much more during an online marathon of meetings with contemporary Russian poets. It is organized by the libraries of the capital Department of Culture.
The online marathon will take place from December 15-17 and will consist of seven meetings. The poets will read their works on the air, talk about their creative path and share their plans for the future.
The schedule of virtual meetings, as well as links to live broadcasts, are published on the portal“Online. Library town “… No prior registration is required to watch the broadcasts.
Live broadcasts will be conducted from the Publishing House Library, a reading room in the media center of Zaryadye Park, which opened in early November.
“There is an opinion that Russian poetry, capable of captivating a mass reader, ended in the sixties. However, the modern world is full of good poets who deserve to be presented to the public. These are established authors who publish collections of poetry, travel the country and the world with concerts and continue the traditions of their famous predecessors. The online marathon, which we are holding together with Zaryadye Park, will help poets increase the number of their readers, share their work with a wide audience, ”said the press service of the Moscow Directorate for the Development of Cultural Centers of the Moscow Department of Culture.
Guest of the first interview, which will take place on December 15 at 12:00, will become a poet Danil Fayzov. His poems have been translated into many languages of the world. Danil is not only the author of two poetry books “Decals” (2007) and “The Third Estate” (2015), but also a kulturtrager – the organizer of literary evenings, presentations of new books by contemporary poets and prose writers. During the conversation, he will share tips for novice authors: how to find your audience, how to interest the reader.
IN 14:00 a conversation with the poet and journalist Anatoly Yezhov will take place. He has released several collections with his poems, including the rubai – lyrical and philosophical quatrains. This poetic genre is widespread in the Near and Middle East. Yezhov continues the tradition of oriental authors.
December 16 at 12:00 the guest of the online marathon will be the poet Yuri Tsvetkov. Together with his colleague Danil Faizov, he is the author of the project for the creation of literary events in Russia and abroad “Cultural Initiative”. During the conversation, the author of the book of poems “Stendhal Syndrome” (2014) will talk about the international experience of organizing creative evenings and share the secrets of poetic skill.
IN 14:00 the literary baton will be taken by the poet and philologist, literary critic, author of 14 poetry books Nadezhda Chernykh. She writes under the pseudonym Nadia Delaland. The poetess has gone from a novice poet to a jury member of major poetry festivals. Nadezhda will share her unique experience. 16:00 viewers will meet Ganna Shevchenko, poet, writer and translator, winner of the Fazil Iskander International Prize, on the air. She has released several collections of poetry, including The Housewife Blues (2012) and The Crossroads Dweller (2015). Ganna Shevchenko will talk about the origins of inspiration, the first impulses to write poetry, as well as the complexity of the creative process.
On the final day of the online marathon, December 17, there will be two virtual meetings. The first will start at 12:00… Tatiana Stoyanova, curator of various literary projects, will tell how and where contemporary poets can promote their creativity. And in 14:00 the young poet Nikita Duplensky will be the guest of the marathon. At the age of 28, he managed to become a participant in many poetry festivals and a laureate of literary competitions. Duplensky will tell you what gives a young author participation in the competition and award process, is the recognition of the professional community a sign that the public will also accept your poems. The poet will explain what poetry he considers good and will share the secrets of the mastery.

“Library of Publishing Houses” is a joint project of the Directorate for the Development of Cultural Centers of the Moscow Department of Culture and the Zaryadye Park. The book fund of the “Library of Publishing Houses” consists of more than 1.5 thousand books, provided by the leading publishing houses of the city. The fund will be renewed and replenished several times a year.
A methodological council works on the basis of the project. It includes specialists from the Central City Youth Library named after M.A. Svetlov, Central City Business Library, Central City Children’s Library named after A.P. Gaidar. Literature, which is presented on the shelves of the Publishing House Library, undergoes an expert assessment of the council.

Portal “Online. Bibliogorod ”was created by the Moscow Directorate for the Development of Cultural Centers of the Department of Culture. It was launched in April this year as an electronic resource with access to information content of libraries and cultural centers.
