From December 21, 2020, you will have access to all the training courses offered in 2021 to which you can register from January 20, 2021. This year, veterinary schools are joining the 17,000 training courses available. Service-Public.fr reminds you of the calendar of the main phases of the Parcoursup procedure which allows enrollment in higher education (schools, universities) published by the Ministry of National Education. Terminale high school students, apprentices, students in reorientation, discover the first dates of the major stages to remember.

New in 2021: the national veterinary schools will be accessible in post-baccalaureate on Parcoursup.

In 2021, students in Terminale who wish to become a veterinarian will be able to register via Parcoursup in national veterinary schools (Alfort, Lyon-VetAgroSup, Nantes-Oniris and Toulouse). These schools were previously not accessible post-baccalaureate. A new access route is created: “Common First Year of National Veterinary Schools” (PACENV). The 160 students recruited as part of this procedure will advance to the state diploma of veterinary doctor after 6 years of study in one of the four national veterinary schools, instead of the current 7 years.

This competition, common to the four national veterinary schools, is intended for students of the general series registered for the first time in Terminale, and is subject to obtaining the baccalaureate in the year of admission. It will count as a single wish in Parcoursup, but only if the candidate is eligible for interviews. It will also be possible to express at the same time a wish for admission to preparatory class for grandes écoles, for example of the BCPST type (biology, chemistry, physics and earth sciences). Wishes can be made from January 20, 2021.

From November 2020 to January 2021: get information and discover the training courses

From November: get information and discover the training courses. In particular, you can consult the Onisep website or the training offered last year on the Parcoursup site. The Parcoursup training search engine allows you to find training courses by key words or by type of training, to geolocate establishments and to consult training suggestions similar to the one sought. Learn in particular about their characteristics and the skills and knowledge expected by each training.

High school student, you participate in the 1st week of orientation organized in your high school.

For students who want to reorient themselves: you can get information from the guidance service of your institution.

Beginning of December: if you are a high school student, you complete the dialogue sheet so that the 1st class council learns about your career plan and makes recommendations for you.

December 21: opening of the Parcoursup 2021 information site with all the information on the progress of the procedure on Parcoursup.fr.

You can then discover the content of the training courses available in 2021, the expectations, professional opportunities and the criteria for examining files.

Throughout the 2nd term: you continue your reflection with your head teachers by participating in the 2nd orientation week and open days in higher education establishments.

From January 20 to April 8, 2021: register, express your wishes and finalize your file

From January 20: register on Parcoursup and create your candidate file. You then enter your wishes: up to 10 wishes with the possibility of sub-wishes depending on the training without having to classify them.

Thursday March 11: last day to express your wishes.

February-March: 2nd class council: each wish you have made is the subject of a “Future sheet” including the assessments of your teachers and the opinion of the headteacher.

April 8: last day to finalize your file with the elements requested by the training (for example, a motivated training project) and confirm your wishes.

April-May: trainings examine the wishes you have made.

From May 27 to September 16: view and respond to training responses

May 27: This is the opening of the main admission phase. You take note of the training responses on the platform. You receive admission proposals as decisions are taken by the institutions and you must respond to them within the deadlines indicated by the platform.

June 16: opening of the complementary phase to formulate new wishes if necessary.

July 6: baccalaureate results.

Before July 16: registration in the courses chosen by the candidates according to the procedures specified in their file. End of the main admission phase.

September 16: end of the complementary phase.

Note: From the end of May to September 2020: support if you have not received a response

If you have not received a proposal and want to find a place in a course offered by Parcoursup, you will be accompanied. You can ask for advice, individual or collective support, in your school or at the Information and Orientation Center (CIO) to consider other training choices, especially if you have only received negative responses from the share of selective training (BTS, IUT, schools etc.).

A complementary phase, from June to September, will allow you to express new wishes and obtain a proposal for admission to a course with places available. After the baccalaureate results, you can benefit from the individualized support of your academy’s higher education access committee (CAES).
