Santiago de Chile (11/12). The President of the Republic, Iván Duque, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Claudia Blum, participated in the XV Summit of the Pacific Alliance that took place on December 11 in Chile, within the framework of which the Declaration was signed. of the Pacific Alliance on Gender Equality, along with the Alliance Roadmap for the autonomy and economic empowerment of women.

The adoption of these instruments represents a great achievement for the Pacific Alliance in its efforts to promote the integration of women in trade in the member countries of the Pacific Alliance, with a view to promoting growth and sustainable and inclusive development. from Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

The foregoing represents a key piece in the fulfillment of the central objective of the Gender Technical Group, focused on including the gender perspective as a cross-cutting element within the Alliance’s work.
