Canton of Zug: three drunk drivers stopped

On Saturday night, three drunk drivers got behind the wheel.

On Saturday morning (December 12, 2020), shortly after 01:00 a.m., a 23-year-old driver was stopped and checked on Sinserstrasse in Hagendorn near Cham. The breath alcohol test carried out gave a value of 0.53 mg / l. The driver’s license was taken from him for the attention of the administrative authority (road traffic office).

Two hours later, two more drivers were spotted on the A4 between Cham and Küssnacht am Rigi due to abnormal driving style and checked later. Alcohol symptoms were noted in the 34- and 40-year-old drivers. In addition, a rapid drug test in the 40-year-old showed positive for cannabis, the 34-year-old refused the test. The responsible public prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample for both of them in the hospital. The 34-year-old driver had to hand over his driver’s license to the administrative authority (road traffic office). The 40-year-old German citizen was banned from driving in Switzerland.
