On December 16 at 12.00 a famous Russian artist, a member of the International Association of Artists at UNESCO, Konstantin Miroshnik, will hold a painting master class for convicts serving sentences in three penitentiary institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region – SIZO-6, IK-2 and IK -7.

The event will be held in videoconference mode. Three convicts will become the disciples of the great master, including both a professional artist and amateurs, but all of them are united by a love of artistic creativity and a desire not to stop there.

The meeting in absentia will be a continuation of the September first All-Russian exhibition of paintings by convicts “Keep the Hope”, organized by the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. The department considers both the exhibition and the opening series of master classes as an important means of resocialization of convicts.
