On December 15, 2020, the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command Command of the Orders of Zhukov, Lenin and the October Revolution Red Banner School will host celebrations dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of its foundation.

On this day, a rally and the opening of a memorial plaque will be held on the territory of the school with the participation of relatives and friends of the graduate of the school in 1985, Colonel V.V. Chernikov.

As part of the celebration, a solemn meeting and a festive concert will be held in the school club, at which artists of vocal and instrumental ensembles and other creative groups will perform.

The school was created before the publication of the decree on the creation of the Red Army and began its work on the personal instructions of the head of state V.I. Lenin on December 15, 1917, as the 1st Moscow revolutionary machine gun school. In 1918, the school was transformed into the machine gun courses of the Red Army, in 1922 – into the military school of the Red Army. In June 1958, the school was transformed into the Moscow Red Banner Higher Combined Arms Command School named after the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. In 2004, the school was renamed the Moscow Higher Military Command School (Military Institute) of the RF Ministry of Defense. On March 22, 2017, by order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the school was reorganized into the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School
