As part of the implementation of the program for the arrangement (modernization) of military facilities in the Western Military District, a ceremony was held to put into operation a new modern canteen for 500 seats at the military school of cooks of the Western Military District located in the Moscow Region. The celebrations were attended by the head of the (food) Department of resource support of the RF Ministry of Defense Colonel Sergey Nikhelman, the head of the food service of the Western Military District, Colonel Viktor Tarazevich, the command and military personnel of the school of cooks, as well as specialists from the military construction complex of the Ministry of Defense, who designed and erected the building.
“Every day, together with you, we are developing the educational and material base for high-quality training of junior food service specialists. And as a result, today, on this solemn day, we are opening the object of the educational and material base of the Military School of Cooks – a new dining room that fully meets modern requirements. The new canteen is a new opportunity, which will allow the school teachers to train junior food service specialists at a higher level, ”said Colonel Sergei Nikhelman.
At the end of the ceremony, a festive dinner was organized in the newly opened hall for military personnel, as well as a day of Russian national cuisine.
This building was built using modern technology of block-modular construction in just 1.5 months. The constructed dining room premises are equipped with electric boilers with a total volume of about 900 liters, 50 units of modern technological equipment and devices for preparing delicious dishes.
