Headline: Public transport capacity to increase

As community transmissions remain low in NSW, the increased capacity will help improve services across the state’s public transport network.

Passenger capacity on public transport is expected to increase over the summer months.

Passengers are reminded to follow 3 simple steps to stay COVID Safe on public transport:

  1. plan ahead
  2. check physical distancing capacity
  3. wear a face mask and find a green dot.

Additional transport services and enhanced cleaning will continue to help transport passengers safely.

Minister for Transport and Roads Andrew Constance said the capacity increase is in line with the latest COVID-19 health advice.

“We are at a stage where we can safely let more people onto the public transport network to help people get back to jobs, recreational activities and public spaces in a COVID Safe way,” Mr Constance said.
