The servicemen of the anti-terror unit of the radiation, chemical and biological (RCB) protection unit of the 41st combined-arms army of the Central Military District (CVO), stationed in the Altai Territory, as part of a comprehensive training in countering terrorism, repulsed an attack of a conditional illegal armed formation and prevented the seizure of heavy flamethrower systems TOS -1А “Solntsepek”.

According to the plan of the training, the conditional enemy attempted to penetrate the territory of the fleet of military vehicles in order to seize military equipment, including the TOS-1A “Solntsepek” systems. The anti-terror groups were alerted, arrived at the places where the missions were performed, cordoned off the area and destroyed the conditional illegal armed group.

As part of the combat training event, the anti-terror units carried out engineering reconnaissance of the area for the presence of explosive devices, together with the fire brigades of the compound, they worked out the issues of joint actions in case of possible emergency situations on the territory of the military unit, as well as, as part of the anti-terror groups and military medics, they evacuated conditionally wounded servicemen and providing them with first aid.

When practicing the actions, the means of simulating smoke, blank ammunition and explosives were used.

The event was attended by more than 300 military personnel, about 20 units of special and military equipment were involved.

The 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District is deployed in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory and the Republic of Tyva.
