Volunteers of the #WeTogether campaign not only deliver the necessary food and medicine to Muscovites, but also help them celebrate birthdays and other family holidays.

During the two months of the renewed campaign #WeTogether, volunteers brought food with a total weight of almost 8.1 tons and 2694 liters of drinking water. In total, volunteers fulfilled over 6,200 requests from city residents.

Most often, Muscovites of the older generation indicated dairy products, meat, vegetables, fruits, sweets in their applications. Volunteers brought 3,944 loaves of bread, 2,483 liters of milk, 1,048 kilograms of tomatoes, 694 kilograms of cucumbers, 777 kilograms of apples, 685 kilograms of bananas, 437 kilograms of carrots, 638 kilograms of cottage cheese, 559 kilograms of meat, 336 kilograms of fish. For tea, residents of the city asked to buy cookies (153 kilograms), sweets (150 kilograms) and waffles (101 kilograms).

In addition, volunteers visited the polyclinics 353 times to collect prescriptions for specialized drugs and delivered 3,944 packages of drugs to the applicants. Most often, they ordered medicines for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

In order to deliver all the necessary items to Muscovites who are at home, the volunteers covered 5,243 kilometers and traveled 26,226 kilometers by personal transport.

During the two months of operation of the situational center of the Moscow headquarters of the #WeVaTogether campaign, operators made more than 4500 calls to confirm and clarify applications. On average, a call takes about nine minutes, which is 41,013 minutes of communication, or 683 hours 55 minutes, which is equal to almost 29 days.

Volunteers of the capital not only bring basic necessities to Muscovites, but also try to support them with a kind word, a smile or a pleasant gesture of attention.

For two months, volunteers congratulated 32 applicants on their birthday, among them there were nine anniversaries. For example, volunteer Olesya Agafoshina made a woman who lives in the village of Novomoskovsky district of Moscow happy on her 85th birthday. Olesya not only brought food to Maria Ivanovna in the morning, but also made a pleasant surprise by presenting a bouquet of flowers.

“When I was buying groceries in the store, at the checkout I saw a bouquet of flowers made of yellow and white chrysanthemums. I immediately decided: we must take it, it is definitely for Maria Ivanovna! She was very touched by such a gift, she did not expect it at all. I am very glad that I was able to make a person happy with such a small gesture. To see a sincere smile and happy eyes is priceless, ”said the volunteer.

Volunteers also helped celebrate several silver, gold and diamond weddings. Volunteers are trying to make this day special for the older generation of Muscovites: not only deliver the essentials, but also hand over flowers, cakes, fruits and berries or small souvenirs, such as carved wood figures, from themselves and the #Moscow Volunteers team.

Today, more than 300 volunteers help older people, families with many children and those who find themselves at home in the capital. More than 200 medical volunteers support doctors and nurses in the city’s hospitals in both the red and green zones. Also, 257 organizations help residents of the city within the framework of the action. These are NGOs, charitable foundations and private benefactors. For example, in the fall, as part of the #WeVaTogether campaign, large families in Moscow received 20 food sets and several dozen bags with toys, children’s clothes, and stationery.
