Within the framework of the #WeWeTogether good deeds marathon, dedicated to the International Volunteer Day, a competition was held to create a symbol of the capital’s volunteerism. The winner was Oybek Shomurodov, his work “Volunteers of Moscow” received the most votes during user voting in the “Mosvolonter” community on the social network “In contact with”.

“In my drawing, I have reflected the different roles of volunteers and the areas of volunteering they support, such as environmental, social and media volunteering. I also tried to reflect the credo and goal of the volunteers – good. To create my work I am inspired by our common goal – to show kindness, ”said the winner of the competition.

Anyone could take part in the competition; drawing could be done both on paper and with the help of a graphic editor. In total, several dozen symbols associated with volunteering in the capital were sent to the competition. Most often, in their drawings, the contestants used images of hearts, hands and animals, personifying help and kindness. Some have attached a title and description to the images that explain the plot of the symbol.

“Firstly, it’s great that volunteers from Moscow joined the competition. We know that they are always creative, creative and enthusiastic about any task. And I’m not just talking about young people, but also about representatives of the “silver” volunteerism. Secondly, people who are not professional designers or artists participated in the competition for the creation of the symbol. And the more valuable is the embodiment of their ideas, their vision of volunteering. All works, without exception, are very soulful, they reflect a warm attitude towards volunteering in the capital. Each drawing tells a story and carries a deep meaning, ”said Dmitry Pokrovsky, director of the Mosvolonter resource center.

The evaluation of the works took place in several stages according to five criteria: content, composition, compliance with the subject matter, adherence to the technology of execution and originality. At the first stage, the jury, which included content managers, designers, founders of creative studios and artists, selected the five best works. The decisive test for the participants was the popular vote. You could vote for your favorite creative work in the official Mosvolonter group on the social network “In contact with”… Out of five contenders for victory in the final stage, subscribers chose the best.

On Volunteer Day, December 5, the winner’s work was published on the official information resources of volunteer organizations, on avatars in social networks of leaders and employees of volunteer communities. In addition to supporting the volunteer community of the capital, the winner will also receive pleasant prizes: participation in the online broadcast of the #WeVotte mutual aid campaign, souvenirs from Mosvolonter and two tickets to the VDNKh skating rink.

Details about the results of the competition and good promotions can be found at official website resource center and social networks “Instagram”, Facebook and “In contact with”.
