The Leisure & Cultural Services Department today said that a library staff has tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient worked on the 9th floor of Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building in Yau Tsim Mong District and performed support duties without contacting members of the public.

She last worked on December 1 and has no recent travel history. She wore surgical masks when performing duties and her body temperature was normal during work.

She had been identified as a close contact of a confirmed case and was notified of the positive test result on December 4.

The department will arrange thorough cleaning and sterilisation at the public facilities of Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building and will maintain close liaison with the Centre for Health Protection.

It also reminded its staff to pay attention to personal hygiene and stay vigilant.
