Train: flames from a vehicle

A fire broke out in a car in the evening rush hour. The flames were extinguished by a passerby. Nobody got hurt.

On Thursday evening (December 3, 2020), shortly after 5 p.m., a 43-year-old car driver drove on Baarerstrasse in the direction of Baar. Immediately in front of the Metalli / Bahnhof bus stop, she noticed smoke and small flames in the hood area. The driver, who was alone in the car, stopped immediately. A passer-by came to her aid, handled a fire extinguisher in a nearby store and used it to put out the small fire. The volunteer fire brigade of the city of Zug then checked the car for other sources of fire. Nobody got hurt.

According to the first investigations on site, the ventilation grille of the car caught fire. A technical defect is in the foreground.

Members of the voluntary fire brigade of the city of Zug (FFZ) as well as employees of a private towing company and the Zug police were on duty.
