The State Museum of Oriental Art opens free electronic library with books on the art of the East Ars Asiatica. It presents books on the art of Central Asia and the eastern regions of Russia, Arab countries, Africa, India, Iran, China, Korea, Turkey and Japan. On the pages of the service you can also find scientific articles, catalogs, travel guides, photo albums illustrating the activities of the museum in the early years of its creation, and rare books written at the beginning of the last century.
In 2018, the Oriental Museum celebrated its 100th anniversary. During this time, its exposition changed more than once, exhibitions and vernissages were held, scientific work was carried out to analyze the monuments of oriental art. All this was reflected in books, guidebooks, catalogs and articles, in which the staff of the Museum of the East shared their thoughts on art.
Thanks to the electronic library, these publications will be available to everyone. It will be possible to get acquainted with the scientific works of the current museum staff, as well as with the works of art critics Boris Denike, Boris Weimarn, Fyodor Gogel and other founders of the Museum of the East, which was called Ars Asiatica 100 years ago.
