The national team of the capital won 108 awards at the VI National Abilympics Championship: 70 gold, 23 silver and 15 bronze medals, and also became the first in the team event. The championship of professional skills among people with disabilities and disabilities was held on November 23-29 in 81 constituent entities of Russia. The capital was represented by 171 participants. These are the winners of the Moscow stage of the competition in their age category. Now the best of them will compete in international competitions in 2022.

This year, for the first time, the competitions were held in an intramural-distance format. The participants stayed in their cities and performed competition tasks in individual classrooms and workshops. All precautions were observed at the competition sites: mandatory testing of those present at COVID-19 was carried out, temperature measurement, disinfection and ventilation of the room, as well as a glove and mask regime.

More than two thousand masters took part in the championship. More than half of them are students. Schoolchildren and experienced specialists could also measure their strength.

Participants competed in 77 professional competencies. In addition to the team classification, Muscovites became the best in such areas as database administration, beading, preschool education, publishing, shoe repair, restaurant service, welding technologies, plumbing, carpentry, social work, art design and others.

Danila Mityakov from Moscow, winner and prize-winner of three Abilympics championships, received a prize in the special category “For active participation in the movement”. Also, a team from Moscow became the first in the category “For the development of the expert community”.

The professional skills of the participants were assessed by the jury, which consisted of 416 people. The main experts worked in Moscow (in the competition management center). The rest were refereeing locally, that is, remotely.

“This championship stands out among the previous ones with a very strong team of specialists. Many professional works were presented. Abilympics has an important informational function and helps participants feel needed, in demand and equal. During the competition, I stopped feeling the barrier between the participants in the championship and other people. I am inspired by the sincere tears of joy and the happy smiles of the winners, ”said Yuri Averkin, an expert in the“ Photographer-reporter ”competence.

The championship helps the participants show their professional skills and believe in themselves. This year there were many representatives of large employers among the experts of the competition from Moscow. Thanks to this, the most professional and brilliant participants have already received an invitation to an internship or work.

200 volunteers helped to hold the championship at Moscow venues. These are college students and youth council training center “Professional”… Volunteers registered participants, organized logistics and helped to comply with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Abilympics is an international movement that is responsible for running skill contests for people with disabilities. The main goals of the movement are vocational guidance and assistance in the employment of people with disabilities.

The Abilympics Championships are held annually, bringing together millions of participants around the world and changing traditional views on the possibilities of people with disabilities. Participants find new friends and like-minded people, get acquainted with modern professions, take master classes, receive advice on employment, meet with employers, reveal their abilities and find work. The Moscow regional center for the development of the Abilympics movement constantly operates within the structure of the Professional training center.
