The leadership and members of the coordinating union of organizations of Russian compatriots in Abkhazia (KSORS), uniting 19 public pro-Russian organizations, awarded the entire staff of the hospital for their help in the fight against coronavirus.

Letters of thanks, diplomas and certificates were presented to 101 military specialists headed by the head of the multifunctional mobile hospital Abdulmejid Magomedov.

We are very grateful to you for your personal dedication, high professionalism and attention shown in helping the multinational people of Abkhazia in the fight against coronavirus. The convoy of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation arrived in Abkhazia on October 18 to provide medical assistance to patients with COVID-19. The next day, the Russian military deployed a mobile hospital in Sukhum on the territory of the Aytar tourist hotel to treat those infected with coronavirus infection. The hospital is designed for 100 beds, but if necessary, their number can be increased by another 50 beds.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, at the request of the Republic of Abkhazia, has deployed a mobile multidisciplinary hospital with 100 beds in order to increase the bed capacity and provide medical care to patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection in the Republic of Abkhazia.

The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is a field medical unit dedicated to the inpatient treatment of patients with new coronavirus infection.

For carrying out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.

KSORS was formed to protect the rights and interests of the Russian-speaking population living on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia, effective cooperation with the authorities of Abkhazia and Russia in conducting cultural, educational, educational and other events with the participation of Russian compatriots.

The activities of KSORS in Abkhazia were supported by the Russian ambassador of Russia to Abkhazia Aleksey Dvinyanin, who noted that the main goal of Russian compatriots is to improve the well-being of all people in Abkhazia. The Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia is the chairman of the board of trustees of KSORS.
