Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after inappropriate images were taken of a woman in south east London.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, entered a supermarket in Charlton Church Lane at around 12:15hrs on Sunday, 19 July.

She noticed a man follow her into the store but was not immediately concerned.

Her alarm grew when she became aware that he appeared to be following her around the aisles.

As she looked at some items she realised the man was stood behind her.

She went to confront him when she noticed he was holding his mobile phone in his hand and that the camera was on. He then turned around and left.

The victim phoned her mother and she was collected from the store.

Police were informed and conducted CCTV enquiries. Footage obtained from the store captures the man following the victim before pointing his mobile phone up towards the victim’s skirt.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured.
