In Vladivostok, on the territory of a separate brigade of the Pacific Fleet marines, solemn events were held dedicated to the 315th anniversary of the formation of the Russian Navy marines. The celebration was attended by representatives of the fleet management, veterans of the formation.
The celebration began with the general formation of the personnel with the removal of the military banner of the unit. Then, in front of the formation, an award ceremony was held for the servicemen who showed the best results in combat and professional training at the end of the year. The Pacific also received the Marine Corps 315th Anniversary Badge.
On the Alley of Fame of the formation, the servicemen of the brigade and guests of the holiday laid wreaths and flowers at the monument to the marines who died in the line of duty.
Further, in the club, part of the marines with a festive concert congratulated the artists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Pacific Fleet.
Today, festive events were held in a separate brigade of the Marine Corps of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia, stationed on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
In the 2020 academic year, the Pacific Fleet’s marines completed their combat training plan in full. The Marines conducted a bilateral brigade tactical exercise on the Chukotka Peninsula, which involved more than 4 thousand servicemen and more than 800 pieces of equipment. During the exercise, for the first time in history, a combined airborne assault was carried out on the peninsula. During the year, the Pacific Fleet marines made about 8 thousand parachute jumps, took part in a number of command-staff and tactical exercises.
On November 27, Russia celebrates the Day of the Russian Marine Corps, which was established in accordance with the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy No. 253 in 1996 in memory of the Decree of Peter I on the creation of the first “regiment of sea soldiers” in Russia, issued on November 27, 1705.
