Ambulance doctors will give medicines to patients with coronavirus. Citizens living with COVID-19 patients will be tested twice. This was reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

The situation with the spread of coronavirus in Moscow remains very tense. Today we have recorded a new anti-record for the number of cases detected. Over the last week, we have seen an increase in hospitalizations, on average we hospitalize from 1,500 to 1,700 people per day. For the third month already, throughout the fall, the Moscow health care system has been working with an enormous load. At the same time, today we have a sufficient reserve of beds for the treatment of patients with a new coronavirus infection – about five thousand. At the same time, a special burden falls on polyclinics and outpatient care. We have taken a number of measures aimed at strengthening the outpatient link, ”said Anastasia Rakova.

She noted that 300 employees of public service centers were sent to work in polyclinics, who will strengthen the work of call centers of polyclinics. The notification of Muscovites about the results of coronavirus tests, which are now received by SMS, has been accelerated. During this week, the townspeople received more than 150 thousand such messages.

In conclusion, Anastasia Rakova added that, according to doctors, two-thirds of people admitted to hospitals were self-medicating. She urged the townspeople to see a doctor in time and recalled that medical institutions are provided with a sufficient amount of drugs, which are provided free of charge to patients in need of drug therapy.
