Servicemen of the electronic warfare (EW) unit of the combined-arms formation of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, gained experience in setting up radio-electronic “ambushes” and blocking the main and reserve control frequencies of a simulated enemy during the training.

During the drawing of practical actions, the crews of the electronic warfare systems carried out reconnaissance and identification of the enemy’s electronic means, organizing electronic ambushes with the help of special equipment. Then the station operators carried out a sudden selective suppression of the identified control channels of the “enemy”, in fact, squeezing it out of the interference-free frequencies with targeted and obstructive electronic strikes.

More than 50 military personnel were involved in the training and over 20 units of military equipment were involved, including automated jamming stations of the Palantin electronic warfare complex.
