The beauty and talent competition among convicted women in this correctional facility has become an annual tradition. Here he is expected with special excitement and carefully prepared. This year the timing of the competition has shifted somewhat – it will take place on New Year’s Eve.

The change in timing is not the only innovation. This time, one of the organizers of the Miss-IK competition (along with the department of educational and social work with convicts and the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Altai Territory) is a model agency in the city of Barnaul. It is this agency that conducts such beauty contests as: “Miss Barnaul”, “Little Miss Altai”, “Miss Siberia”.

“Especially for the convicted contestants, we will record video tutorials on make-up and fashion shows, we will assist in the selection of evening dresses and shoes, and we will conduct online consultations in the process of preparing for the competition,” said the agency’s director Tatyana Bayeva.

The day before, the first meeting with the participants of the Miss-IC contest took place. It was held in videoconference mode. Tatiana Baeva met the girls, told them about the competition program and the upcoming preparations for it, answered the questions of the convicts.

Seven girls will compete for the Miss-IK title this year. They will have to prove themselves in three competitive tasks – “Business Card”, “Creative Competition” and “Defile”.

In addition, 10 days before the start of the competition, an Internet voting will take place, during which users will choose the most liked contestant by photo. She will be awarded the Miss Online title.

Based on the results of all competitive tests, the jury will determine the main winner, who will be awarded the title “Miss-IC 2020”, as well as “First vice-miss-IC” and “Second vice-miss-IC”.
