30 winners of the “Faces of the District” competition found like-minded people and received expert assessments.
Jury of the competition “Faces of the district” selected 30 best projects aimed at transforming areas and dialogue with their residents. The participants presented already existing practices and promising initiatives in the field of culture, sports, ecology, improvement and social sphere. Yuri Yakhonin, a resident of Golyanov, presented the project “Children’s yard hockey in the area”. Yuri Yakhonin himself is a member of the coaching staff of the Golyanovo hockey club and trains children between the ages of six and 14 for free. He notes that many want to join his team, including children from neighboring areas. In winter, training sessions take place in courtyard hockey rinks; last year, 17 such sports grounds were installed in the city under the My District program.
Zoya Kuznetsova founded the Dobrynya cultural and educational project. Its participants organize free leisure activities for children with disabilities in Severny Medvedkovo, arrange meetings with their peers and help their families.
Stepan Pankovichenko, a resident of Troparevo-Nikulin, presented the project “I choose a clean future”. The educational part includes conducting environmental lectures, quizzes, master classes and contests, and the social part includes the installation of containers for collecting batteries in each entrance of Moscow.
Yana Kapitonova from the Mozhaisky District presented the press center of the Council of Veterans of the Western Administrative District at the competition. The objectives of the project are to collect information about the life of veterans and organize leisure activities, including online, which is especially important during periods of time constraints.
