The delegation saluted 88-year-old Vietnamese Heroic Mother Truong Thi Van and 79-year-old Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, Major-general Le Hoang Suong, who are residing in Chau Thanh district.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan extended her wishes for longevity for the hosts, while hailing their past contributions to the national revolutionary cause.

The policy beneficiaries have established themselves as shining examples for their descendants to follow, she stressed.

Visiting the factory of Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company at the An Nghiep industrial house, the top legislator highly lauded the company’s achievements.

After nine-years of operation, the company is now equipped with modern facilities and has gained an annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes of products. Its products have been exported to 20 countries and territories worldwide, including to Europe, Japan, the US, Canada, and the Republic of Korea.

The company has generated jobs for local labourers, who can earn an average monthly salary of VND7 million. Notably despite the impacts of COVID-19, the company has still maintained its operations and growth rate as well as the livelihood of its employees.

At the production centre for the ST25 rice variety in My Xuan district, the NA Chairman applauded the efforts made by the centre’s staff to increase the quality of the rice variety after it was named World’s Best Rice in 2019.

She asked local authorities to create favourable conditions for scientists to work and produce more products with a high level of quality like ST25 and prevent the sale of fake ST25 rice in the market.
