Headline: Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) Statement on Tornado Damage to Arlington Businesses, Apartment Complexes
Nov 25, 2020
Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement after getting updated information from local leaders about damage sustained to local businesses and housing during Tuesday night’s tornado in Arlington, Texas:
“Today, I had the opportunity to speak with Mayor Williams of Arlington about the damage sustained to local businesses and housing during last night’s tornado. During today’s discussion, Mayor Williams informed me that over 85 North Texas residents have been displaced and several structures have been damaged because of last night’s severe weather. Fortunately though, Mayor Williams and I are thankful to report that no one sustained serious injuries on Tuesday.
As we enter the Thanksgiving holiday, I want everyone to know that my office is here to work with the city of Arlington to help those families displaced or impacted by this event get the relief they need. I am also thankful for the humanitarian work of the Red Cross and those that have given to this vital organization that will be at the forefront of giving relief to the North Texans that have been impacted by this event. Please stay safe and have a happy Thanksgiving.
