At the Khmelevka training ground, in the Kaliningrad region, with the reconnaissance unit of the Baltic Fleet marines, a training was carried out to destroy the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the conditional enemy.

According to the plan of the training, the sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of the mock enemy landed on the coast of the Baltic Sea and moved deep into the territory of the Kaliningrad region. The scouts of the Marine Corps worked out the task of organizing the ambush and, letting the DRG as close as possible, destroyed it with fire from standard weapons.

During the training, the scouts also practiced the skills of capturing prisoners, conducting reconnaissance patrols, methods of disabling communications of a simulated enemy, using the modern topographic control and navigation system “GLONASS”, as well as improved short-range reconnaissance stations and portable ground reconnaissance equipment.

The personnel performed live firing from the armament of the BTR-82A, sniper rifles and machine guns. Sniper pairs of the reconnaissance unit worked out the issues of camouflage in a wooded area, search and destruction of snipers of a conditional enemy. During the training sessions with servicemen, special attention was paid to improving the combat use of weapons and military equipment, the use of special technical means, life support techniques and camouflage in the performance of combat missions.
