They became the winners of the regional stage. Competitions in 74 professional competencies were held from 16 to 20 November in an intramural-distance format.

Results of the VI Moscow Championship of Professional Skills among People with Disabilities and Disabilities “Abilympics-2020”… Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his page on the Vkontakte social network.


Prize places in the regional stage were taken by 171 people, they will represent Moscow at the national championship.

The competitions were held from 16 to 20 November in an intramural-distance format. The national stage will take place next week – November 23-29.

The Moscow championship was attended by 885 leaders of the qualifying round in different age categories: schoolchildren, students and already experienced specialists. Competitions were held in 74 competencies from different areas (information technology, medicine, industry, economics and finance, services and food, creative professions and arts and crafts).

The most popular competencies among the participants were “Web Design”, “Master of Digital Information Processing” and “Adaptive Physical Education”. At the competitions, it was necessary to develop websites, create presentations, and typeset magazines. Specialists in adaptive physical education thought out complexes of exercises, taking into account different health characteristics, created outdoor games for schoolchildren. All exercises were demonstrated by championship volunteers.

The most popular among schoolchildren are the competencies “Text Processing”, “Floristics”, “Fine Arts”. Students, in addition to the listed areas, showed interest in cooking. And the specialists were primarily focused on the following competencies: “Assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment”, “Painting”, “Economics and accounting”, “CAD engineering design (CAD)”.

Due to the pandemic, the Moscow championship was held for the first time in an intramural-distance format. For the competition, 29 sites were involved, the participants performed competition tasks without interacting with spectators and representatives of other competencies. Fans and mentors watched the competition through online broadcasts. They were conducted from every auditorium and workshop. Apart from the participants, only experts and volunteers attended the sites.

About 400 experts took part in the championship, many of them are employers from the capital. The best participants got the opportunity to get an invitation to an internship or a job.

The championship was supported by 300 volunteers – students of Moscow colleges and members of the youth council of the Professional training center. Volunteers registered participants, organized logistics and helped to comply with measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Thanks to this support, all competitions were held in accordance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. At the sites, the mask and glove regime and social distance were observed, the premises were disinfected and aired, and the participants were tested for COVID-19.

The championship of professional skills “Abilympics” has started in the capital

Abilympics is an international movement that is responsible for running skill contests for people with disabilities. The main goals of the movement are vocational guidance and assistance in the employment of people with disabilities.

The Abilympics Championships are held annually, bringing together millions of participants around the world and changing traditional views on the possibilities of people with disabilities. Participants find new friends and like-minded people, get acquainted with modern professions, take master classes, receive advice on employment, meet with employers, reveal their abilities and find work. The Moscow regional center for the development of the Abilympics movement is constantly operating in the structure of the training center “Professional”…
