At the request of the leadership of Vladivostok, the Pacific Fleet has increased the number of servicemen of the separate naval engineering battalion (OMIB) of the fleet, which are involved in work to eliminate the consequences of a powerful cyclone in the capital of Primorye.

To provide assistance to the city emergency brigades, about 60 servicemen of the fleet and 10 units of special off-road vehicles were previously allocated. Already today, 150 sailors of the Pacific Fleet have started filing and removing fallen and damaged trees, cleaning roads and breaking ice. The possibility of attracting universal heavy track paving BAT-2 to repair and restoration work is being discussed.

To clarify the tasks and the scope of work for the next day, an OMIB reconnaissance group left for Russky Island. Military engineers also solve the problems of eliminating the consequences of the disaster within the city, in the territories adjacent to the military camps of the Pacific Fleet.
