As part of cultural, leisure and military-patriotic work, on the eve of the 79th anniversary of the start of the Soviet counteroffensive
near Moscow, for servicemen of two military units of the army corps of the Air Defense Forces on Sakhalin, as well as for their family members, civilian personnel
and the youth army members of the Sakhalin Oblast, a screening of the feature film “Podolsk Cadets” was organized.

This film is based on real events related to the feat of 20-year-old cadets of the Podolsk Artillery School, who in October 1941, at the cost of their lives, stopped the fascist invaders’ offensive against the capital of our Motherland – Moscow.

The film made a huge impression not only on the servicemen themselves, but also on the younger generation. After watching the film, not a single soldier and youth soldier remained indifferent to the historical event.

The screening of the film took place taking into account the measures to counter coronavirus infection and the restrictive measures in force in the Sakhalin Region.
