Wenstrup Recognizes National Rural Health Day

WASHINGTON, DC- Today, Congressman Brad Wenstrup, D.P.M. (OH-2), a co-chair of House Ways & Means Committee Rural and Underserved Health Task Force, participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on National Rural Health Day. “Ohioans in rural communities continue to band together and show great resiliency in the face of challenges. Though healthcare has evolved, many physicians in small towns still provide the type of personalized care to patients that we saw from Marcus Welby,” said Congressman Wenstrup. “However, I hear regularly from health care providers in rural counties about increasing challenges, like workforce shortages and the uptick COVID-related hospitalizations, which put a strain on our system. That’s why I’m proud to serve on the bipartisan Rural and Underserved Health Task Force and will continue working to find solutions that expand access to quality health care for small town Ohioans.” Congressman Wenstrup co-chairs the bipartisan Ways and Means Rural and Underserved Communities Health Task Force  along with Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-TX), Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-IL), and Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL). ### MIL OSI USA News
