Source: BMW Group Munich. The development of the new BMW M4 GT3 is in full swing – and BMW M Motorsport can also count on the support of some proven, strong technology partners. They contribute components for different areas of the new GT3 flagship. The cooperation with these technology partners is designed for several years. “We can all hardly wait until we see our teams in action with the BMW M4 GT3 on race tracks around the world from 2022,” says Markus Flasch, Managing Director of BMW M GmbH. “We would like to provide our racing customers with a vehicle with which they can seamlessly build on their successes with the BMW M6 GT3 – and with the BMW M4 GT3 also convince other customers and win them over as teams. The new vehicle offers state-of-the-art technology, also thanks to our technology partners. They are among the best in their respective fields and we are very pleased that they are supporting us in the development of the BMW M4 GT3 with their special know-how and with their components. That is the perfect basis for a successful new racing car. “

Shell and Akrapovič are among the long-term technology partners of BMW M Motorsport who are also involved in the BMW M4 GT3. As a “Premium Technology Partner” of BMW M Motorsport, Shell Lubricants contributes the most modern lubricants and gear oils and also provides the fuel for the test drives. The Slovenian company Akrapovič is the leading manufacturer of premium exhaust systems and has its roots in racing. Accordingly, Akrapovič has been a fixture in international motorsport for almost three decades and, with its innovative exhaust systems, has contributed to countless titles and victories for its racing partners.

Endless Advance Co. Ltd. acts as the “Official Partner” in the field of brake technology. The Japanese company, its European subsidiary Endless Brake Technology Europe AB and BMW Motorsport have also been working together for several years. Endless is involved in the BMW M4 GT3 project with the development of advanced racing brakes and provides technical support.

Another innovation in the BMW M4 GT3 is the new hydrostatic modular clutch actuator from Schaeffler. It heralds the next generation of clutch automation, has recently been used in series vehicles and impressed from the start. In the BMW M4 GT3, the Schaeffler clutch actuator finds its way onto the race track and, with its innovative technology, will enable significantly more dynamic starts.

In the chassis area, too, BMW M Motorsport is expanding its collaboration with two proven technology partners to include the BMW M4 GT3. The special springs from H&R and the racing dampers from chassis manufacturer KW automotive ensure that the new racing vehicle stays perfectly on the road in all conditions.
