In Tajikistan, at the Lyaur, Sambuli and Harb-Maidon training grounds, a joint Russian-Tajik exercise is being held, during which servicemen of the 201st military base of the RF Armed Forces will apply the experience gained in Syria. “The conditions for working out combat training tasks will be as close as possible to combat ones. It is planned to work out new forms and methods of warfare, taking into account the modern experience accumulated in the Syrian Arab Republic, and the capabilities of the models of equipment and weapons, ”said Lieutenant General Yu. Petrov.

He noted that the exercise is aimed at strengthening interaction between units, ensuring uniform approaches to the conduct of hostilities, taking into account the physical, geographical and climatic conditions, confirming the high level of training of troops and their morale.

During the practical stages of the exercise, the grouping of troops will ensure the protection and defense of important facilities, work out the issues of blocking illegal armed formations and preventing their breakthrough. The exercise will end with the infliction of complex fire damage and the creation of conditions for the subsequent defeat of the conditional enemy.

In total, more than 3 thousand Russian servicemen were involved in the joint exercise, which will last from 20 to 28 November, from the Russian side, as well as over 550 pieces of weapons and military and special equipment, including Mi-24 attack and military transport helicopters.
