According to the plan for the preparation of a separate airborne assault guards unit for the new 2020-2021. During the academic year and the winter period of training in the troops, in the Pskov Guards Airborne Assault Formation, reviews of the readiness of weapons, military and special equipment for the winter mode of operation began.

From September 1 to November 25, the formation is taking measures to prepare weapons and military equipment. In the allotted time, the paratroopers had to prepare, within 6 stages, for use in low temperatures more than 2 thousand units of armament and military equipment, of which about 150 units of the latest weapons that had recently entered the formation.

By order of the commander of the guard formation, Colonel Sergei Chubarykin, military units and subunits from November 16 to 21, as part of the 7th stage of the preparation of the AME, will be reviewing the readiness of weapons, military and special equipment for the winter operation mode.

In the course of work, specialists will check the operability of the units, electrical and information systems, the correctness of the adjustments of the main units, carry out the necessary work to replace oils, lubricants, and coolant.

Maintenance was carried out by full-time crews and specialized brigades, and the most complex configuration of the hardware parts of military equipment was carried out by specialists from enterprises – manufacturers of military equipment.

During the review, a commission of command officers of the formation, which includes the chiefs of the combat arms and services, will check the quality of the routine maintenance performed on wheeled, tracked, automobile and armored military equipment located in the places of deployment of troops.
