The forces of the Northern Fleet, due to the unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions that arose in the areas where combat training missions are being performed, were transferred to a storm readiness mode.

Departure from the bases located on the coast of the White and Barents Seas, ships and vessels with low seaworthiness is prohibited. In the Barents Sea, where roughness reaches five points, and the wind speed in gusts exceeds 20 meters per second, the crews of the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and the frigate Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov successfully cope with the storm. They went to sea for combat training missions a few days ago.

In accordance with weather conditions, the plans for combat and flight training of formations of surface ships, submarines and naval aviation have been adjusted. The search and rescue forces of the Northern Fleet are on high alert.

According to the forecasts of the hydrometeorological center of the Northern Fleet, unfavorable weather will continue for several more days. The weakening of the wind on the coast of the Barents and White Seas is expected by evening. Currently, the third, in some places the second, level of storm readiness operates along the coast of the Kola Peninsula and in the White Sea. As the weather conditions improve, it will decrease until it is completely canceled.
