Combat columns of more than 550 pieces of weapons and military equipment made a 340-kilometer march to the Lyaur, Sambuli and Harb-Maidon training grounds after being alerted during a joint Russian-Tajik exercise that started on November 20.

After receiving the signal to put them on alert, more than 3,000 Russian servicemen received weapons and equipment and moved to the training areas. In total, more than 550 units and military equipment were transferred as part of the contingent, including the upgraded BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, BTR-80, multiple launch rocket systems “Grad”, “Uragan”, self-propelled artillery howitzers “Gvozdika “,” Acacia “. The arrival time at the landfills varied from 1.5 to 8 hours.

During the advance, the servicemen practiced maneuvering techniques on the high-speed route, passing the route as part of a convoy at the maximum and minimum permissible speeds, as well as issues of life support at halts and orientation in unfamiliar terrain.

During the practical stages of the exercise, the grouping of troops will ensure the protection and defense of important facilities, work out the issues of blocking illegal armed formations and preventing their breakthrough. The exercise will end with the infliction of complex fire damage and the creation of conditions for the subsequent defeat of the conditional enemy.

In total, more than 3 thousand Russian servicemen were involved in the joint exercise, which will last from 20 to 28 November, from the Russian side, as well as over 550 pieces of weapons and military and special equipment.
