Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an altercation in Reading.

At around 3.30am today (19/11) officers received a report of an altercation between three men in Denmark Street.

When officers attended, the altercation was no longer taking place and a knife was nearby with a small amount of blood on it.

Investigating officer, Inspector Fiona Pearce, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward as it is believed that someone may have been injured.

“If anyone has any information about what happened I would urge them to get in touch with us.

“Further, a man on a bicycle approached officers to report the incident when they arrived at the scene but he then left the area. We would like to speak to him further about what happened and we would ask that he also makes contact.
