The opening of new stations will make it possible to launch traffic from Savelovskaya to Kakhovskaya.

During 2021, it is planned to open nine metro stations on the western, southern and southwestern sections of the Big Circle Metro Line (BCL). This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev…

“Next year we will open four stations in the south-western section: Aminevskaya, Michurinsky Prospect, Vernadsky Prospekt and Davydkovo, three stations in the southern – Kaluzhskaya, Zyuzino and Ulitsa Novatorov. In addition, two stations of the western section will be launched: Terekhovo and Kuntsevskaya, “he specified.

The head of the Stroykompleks noted that the opening of these stations will allow to launch traffic along half of the Big Ring: from Savelovskaya to Kakhovskaya. The other part of the ring, from Mnevniki to Kakhovskaya, will be introduced in stages, the launch order will be determined later.

The construction of the Big Circle Line of the Moscow Metro is the world’s largest metro construction project. It will be 70 kilometers long and will have 31 stations. From the BCL stations it will be possible to make transfers to radial metro lines, the Moscow Central Ring, Moscow Central Diameters and radial railway lines.

The BCL will connect existing and prospective radial lines at a distance of up to 10 kilometers from the existing Circle Line. This will unload the stations in the city center.

Now there are nine stations on the line. Three more are planned to be ready for opening by the end of the year. These are Mnevniki and Karamyshevskaya in the western section, as well as Elektrozavodskaya in the northeastern section of the BCL.
