A task force of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is inspecting damaged buildings in settlements affected by hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Currently, 30 employees of the department work in the region.

Working groups, which also include representatives of municipalities, work in Stepanakert, Martakert, Martuni and Askeran. They assess damage in three categories: light, medium, and total damage, identifying priorities for rebuilding life support systems. As part of the home visit, specialists communicate with the civilian population to clarify the need for targeted assistance.

“The actions of the groups are coordinated from the departmental operational headquarters, which is located in the building of the rural municipality near Stepanakert. The headquarters has organized a special connection with the federal center in Moscow, and operational meetings are being held on the current situation. Based on the results of the assessment, a decision will be made on which specialists and in what quantity to strengthen the grouping of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Nagorno-Karabakh. ”, The press service of the department noted.

Let us remind you that the task force of the Ministry arrived in Stepanakert on November 16, having passed by a motor convoy from Yerevan for almost 10 hours. The structure includes a mobile communication center with a trailer, which now performs the function of an operational headquarters.
