The main topic of the extended meeting was the development of a set of measures aimed at increasing the volume of products purchased from the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tula region. In the videoconference mode, under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Tula Region Olga Gremyakova, the participants spoke about the results of the work done and discussed problematic issues.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Department Ivan Prokopenko, Senior Assistant to the Regional Prosecutor for Supervision of the Lawfulness of Execution of Criminal Sentences Andrey Nadezhdin, management of the Federal Penitentiary Service and subordinate institutions, representatives of ministries and departments, municipal authorities and local self-government.

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Tula Region Andrei Filippov and the Director of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the Tula Region Elena Durnova shared their positive experience of interaction with the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service. The meeting participants discussed the possibilities of expanding the practice of interaction, in particular, the issue of supplying furniture for social healthcare institutions and educational institutions was touched upon. The parties expressed their readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation and an individual approach to different customers.

Olga Petrovna Gremyakova reminded those present at the meeting that the issue of attracting convicts to labor at the production sites of the Federal Penitentiary Service is one of the priority areas of social policy in the region. She stressed that people who have not lost their labor skills in prisons will be able to find themselves faster and re-socialize in society after their release. All representatives of the regional executive power are interested in this, according to Olga Petrovna.

Alexander Karamyshev, Chief Engineer of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Tula Region, made a report on the results of the production activities of the FPS institutions.

Summing up the meeting, the participants agreed to continue cooperation next year and expand the list of goods and services provided by the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service for municipal and commercial customers.
