Footscray police are appealing for public assistance to locate a puppy that was stolen from Maidstone last month.

Junior, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was only seven months old when he was taken from his Dunedin Street home sometime between 6am and 11am on 23 October.

A hole was found cut out of temporary fencing shared between the yard Junior was in and the construction site next door.

Junior’s owners are desperately seeking the return of their good boy.

Police have released images of the tan coloured Staffie pup in the hope that someone can come forward with information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who knows where Junior is or has any information that could assist police with their enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
