Source: Swiss Canton de Vaud – news in French

On November 17, 2020, a vast operation carried out by the Vaud cantonal police and the French national police led to the arrest, in France and Switzerland, of several people suspected of being involved, in various capacities, in this attack. A joint investigation team was created shortly after the events by the Swiss and French judicial authorities. The investigation was carried out for nearly 17 months jointly by the Serial Delinquency Brigade of the Vaud Security Police, the Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime (OCLCO) and the Judicial Police of Lyon. 5 people were arrested in Switzerland, one of whom was placed in provisional arrest at the disposal of the Vaud central public prosecutor. In France, 8 people were arrested. In summer 2019, a suspect had already been arrested in Spain at the request of the Vaud central public prosecutor. This is a French national from the Lyon region. He was extradited to Switzerland in August 2020 and is still in prison. Investigations are continuing to determine the role played by the suspects.
