Senior Operational Duty Officer of the Central Administration for Emergency Situations of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Moscow Region, Lieutenant Colonel of the Internal Service Andrei Veretennikov won the professional skills competition in the EMERCOM of Russia.

The evaluation criteria were the number of emergencies and incidents to which the shift responded under the guidance of the senior operational duty officer, the performance of functional duties, professional training and much more.

A graduate of the Civil Protection Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, from which he graduated with honors, since 2010 he has been working at the Crisis Management Center of the Moscow Region. He started as head of the monitoring and forecasting department. Today he is the deputy head of the center – the senior operational duty officer. The most difficult thing in his work, like that of firefighters, is the choice of a decisive direction.

It is necessary to determine what forces to direct first of all to help people to save them. If you make a mistake, there can be very sad consequences.

Andrey Veretennikov noted that the victory in the competition is the result of many years of hard work by the entire staff of the Central Control Department of the Moscow Region.
