On November 17, 2020, safe movement of civil vehicles was opened along the Lachin corridor in Nagorno-Karabakh. On the eve of the Lachin corridor and a 28-kilometer section of the road to Stepanakert, the engineering units of the Russian peacekeeping contingent were completely cleared of mines and cleared of explosives, broken and damaged equipment.

In the areas of the peacekeeping operation, round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime is carried out by peacekeeping units at 25 observation posts: nine observation posts in the southern zone of responsibility, nine in the northern and seven temporary observation posts along the road Zabukh – Lysogorsky state farm – Zarysly in Lachinsky corridor.

To control the ceasefire and hostilities, a peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the amount of 1960 military personnel, 90 armored personnel carriers, 380 units of automobile and special equipment.

The core of the Russian contingent is made up of units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade (peacekeeping) of the Central Military District.
