The Gryazinsky Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office of the Lipetsk Region conducted an investigation on the complaint of the 88-year-old widow of a Great Patriotic War veteran, who was denied a lump sum payment in connection with the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The prosecutor’s office found that the management of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Gryazinsky region twice refused the pensioner a lump sum payment due to the lack of documents confirming her husband’s participation in hostilities.

Moreover, the applicant’s legal status as a widow of a participant in the Great Patriotic War was documented and not disputed.

In this regard, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a demand to oblige the territorial body of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation to make a lump sum payment of 75 thousand rubles to the widow of the veteran.

The prosecutor’s demands were satisfied by the court decision.

Currently, the pensioner has received the money due to her.
