The team tournament of the All-Russian e-sports championship “Yunarmeets on the Net”, held in the disciplines World of Tanks and Valorant, has ended. The winners of the competition were “Russians” and Jettluck. In total, taking into account one-day quick games, 15 thousand teenagers fought for the title of the strongest gamers.
The All-Russian Championship “Yunarmeets on the Net” without exaggeration can be called one of the main esports events of this fall. An impressive number of participants, a professional studio in the Central House of the Youth Army, game reviews from commentators and analysts, daily broadcasts on social networks, over a million views – the facts speak for themselves. The series of virtual battles lasted for a whole month. It all started with the one-day Fast Cup tournaments, and ended with the World ofTanks and Valorant team tournament.
“We had no doubts about the success of this project, because e-sports is one of the most popular phenomena among the youth. And it’s not just a hobby that you do from time to time. Some of them study at the faculty of computer sports, and some, despite their young age, have signed contracts with professional organizations and are already earning decent money. As the championship showed, there are also quite a few of the Yunarmeys who want to develop in this direction, ”emphasized Anton Kuznetsov, director of the department for military-patriotic education of the General Staff of Yunarmi.
Of course, there were some difficulties, but this is what makes such competitions attractive. The teams were created, as they say, on the fly, the search for players facilitated discussions of the upcoming tournament on the Yunarmiya page in the Vkontakte social network. For example, the final squad of Jettluck, playing in the discipline of Valorant, gathered three weeks before the start of the games. And so, five people unfamiliar to each other until this moment, from different regions, founded their team. These are Captain Nikolay Belganovich (Kaliningrad Region), Nikita Kozhevnikov (Rostov Region), Daniil Petrov (Leningrad Region), Danil Tkachenko (Abakan) and Valentin Kirekeev (Samara Region).
Before the start of the competition, the guys trained hard – for several hours, about 3-4 times a week. At first, very little worked, even ordinary matchmaking games were losing. In order to play and gain experience, we decided to compete in other tournaments, but the results were again not pleasing. In addition, the players faced the problem of time zones.
“We finished our preparations the day before the tournament. Before the first game we were very worried, but still we didn’t give up a single round. After that we felt more confident and the last two games of the day of the playoffs were “taken” with a score of 13: 1 and 13: 4. I would like to thank all the guys from my team, our coach and mental mentor Danila Noreyk, the tournament administration for their prompt help in solving various issues and everyone who was sick and supported us during all this difficult time, ”said Nikolai Belganovich, a youth soldier.
Jettluck confidently made it to the main battle, beating opponents in the quarterfinals and semi-finals with devastating scores. As the guys admit, before the final, everyone was very worried, but after a month of playing together, a team of five strangers to each other turned into a company of real friends. Therefore, the excitement was overcome with mutual support and the right words. In the final, they won a 3-0 map victory over the Yasosbeab team.
In another discipline – World of Tanks – the team “Russians” became the best. It included Nikita Tuchkov, Yuri Kalashnikov and Vladislav Moiseenkov, all three represent the city of Bataysk in the Rostov region.
The winners of the team tournament of the championship “Youth in the Network” will receive certificates of participants and gifts. And the main prize for each player in the championship lineup will be the new Sony Playstation 5 game console.
The All-Russian e-sports championship “Yunarmeets in the Network” was held by the General Headquarters of the All-Russian Yunarmiya Movement, the Computer Sports Association and the Patriot Park.
