Every year in November, the sixth grade students present their Matura theses to the public. Usually not only relatives and friends sit in the audience. Not infrequently, whoever wanted a place for the presentation had to be there on time.
This year is different for known reasons. Only 10 people are allowed per presentation: family members who live in the same household, two colleagues from the class, of course the two evaluating persons and possibly also a member of the authorities. That is regrettable, as exciting topics were dealt with this year as well. Representing all 58 works, here are some works that are related to the canton of Uri: “Euthanasia in the eye of the (Uri) church community” (Ana-Maria Crnjac), “Polysportives Schächental” (Eva Schuler), “Crystal forms in the canton Uri ”(Philipp Walker),“ First survey of the Brunniquelle ”(Carmen Journeaux),“ Sustainability in fish farming ‘Basis 57’ ”(Matteo Balli),“ A picturesque interpretation of Lake Uri ”(Viviana Zaugg),“ Effect of the corona pandemic on the air quality in the lower Reuss Valley of Uri ”(Johannes Canal) or“ Braindrain in Uri ”(Alina Bissig).
The presentations will take place this week. The title pages of all works can be found on the homepage of the cantonal secondary school. As soon as the evaluations are completed, short descriptions of most of the work will be posted. The school management checks in what form the work can be presented to the population – if Corona no longer dominates everyday life.
