Thomas Jarzombek, BMWi’s representative for the digital economy and start-ups, opened the Days of Digital Technologies 2020 today with a message of greetings important key sectors of our economy, e.g. in industry, mobility, health and energy. This is especially true in times like these, in which the corona pandemic has once again accelerated processes of social change. The research results from six of our company’s technology programs presented today are an impressive example of our country’s innovative strength. They are proof that it is also possible in Germany to quickly bring current digitalization trends ‘onto the street’. ”The event, which this year is being held as a purely online conference, presents outstanding results from application-oriented technology programs of the BMWi im Digital cutting-edge technology. The central element of the conference are topic-specific forums in which actors from business, research and politics shed light on current developments and future-relevant topics , digital applications for the economy and electromobility. In addition, experts report on the progress made with GAIA-X, a Franco-German initiative to build a secure and trustworthy European data infrastructure.
