To speed up the sector’s recovery and reduce the socioeconomic impact of Covid-19, last week, the federal government launched the Tourism Resumption. It is a national alliance that, supported by biosafety protocols, will develop a series of actions focused on the preservation of companies and jobs in the sector; improving the structure and qualification of destinations; implementation of biosafety protocols; and promotion and incentive to travel. In all, 32 institutions from the public and private sectors, the third sector and the S System are part of the Tourism Resumption, with actions scheduled until July 31, 2021. TRANCOSO – Located in the south of Bahia, Trancoso, which has tourism as its main activity, integrates the Costa do Descobrimento strategy route, as a district of Porto Seguro, as well as Arraial d´Ajuda and Caraíva. The itinerary also includes the city of Santa Cruz Cabrália. It was in this region that Pedro Álvares Cabral landed in 1500. The Discovery Coast is one of 30 strategic tourist routes, located in 158 municipalities in the country, covered by the Investe Turismo program.
