This became possible thanks to the update of the Moscow Metro mobile application.
Muscovites can now use the personalized Troika card. This opportunity appeared thanks to the update of the Moscow Metro application. “Troika” can be linked in a new personal account and in case of loss of the card, transfer all funds to a new one. Other useful features include setting up auto-replenishment or a reminder to drop your balance. Anyone could test it before the official launch of the updated application.
“The Moscow Metro mobile application is used by more than four million passengers – this is a really convenient and useful service. We are launching a new version, which now has a personal account with the ability to link a Troika card. Passengers will be able to remotely buy tickets for transport and manage the balance of the card without using the ticket office, “said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the city
Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.
Another novelty is the chatbot of the Moscow Metro Alexander. The name of the new assistant was chosen by the townspeople. She is ready to answer users’ questions 24 hours a day without breaks and days off.
The application will also tell you about the workload of arriving trains and help you choose the freest carriage. In addition, you can now plan metro trips according to different parameters – the minimum number of transfers or the time spent. Filters will help you choose stations where you can, for example, buy coffee or find a toilet.
On the city map, it is possible to build a route using public transport, car or bicycle (taking into account traffic jams), as well as assign and save favorite places. The app will also calculate the calories burned.
An updated version of the application is already available for devices with operating systems Android and iOS.
