In the Samara region, on the 94th anniversary of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Alexander Stepanov, the Yunarmeys organized a personal holiday in the courtyard of his house with drums, banners and a ceremonial box.

The front-line soldier went out into the courtyard and met the Yunarmey in good health. Young men and women read poems to the veteran, sang songs, played drums and marched in a solemn march like at the Victory Parade. Local self-government bodies also joined the congratulations. Alexander Mikhailovich Stepanov served in artillery units as a driver. He fought on the 1st Ukrainian and 1st Belorussian fronts. He suffered one moderate wound. I got to Berlin. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree, the medal “For Courage” (for helping a wounded colleague on the battlefield), “For Victory over Germany” and other awards. He now lives in Bezenchuk.
