The personnel of the Kamyshin Guards Airborne Assault Formation are preparing for parachute jumps as part of the planned airborne training (ATP).

The paratroopers are preparing to perform jumps at different times of the day in full combat gear. Each paratrooper guardsman who has already made jumps will land from an IL-76 aircraft from a height of 800 m.

For a month, the servicemen studied the materiel, passed the obligatory tests for the arrangement of the parachute system and the packing of parachutes, practiced the methods of controlling the main and reserve parachutes in the air, practicing actions when making a jump from the model of the Il-76 military transport aircraft.

With the help of special exercises on training complexes, the technique of landing on various surfaces was worked out.

More than 500 servicemen of the guards unit of the Airborne Forces are involved in the training, which will last until the end of November.
